The Lamb Accused

WORDS SHARED IN THE LORD

Jesus was accused. The drawn weapons of words can  tear the soul and render the power of strength from both the inner man and the physical man. He was accused and opened not His mouth. When someone accuses us our natural reaction is that of denial, saying simply that is not so and there is no truth in it. It is written, every tongue that rises against us in judgment thou shalt condemn.

Yet, still we must see Jesus deeper. Jesus was accused for each of us. Each step to Calvary was a step against the darkness of men’s hearts and this brought accusation from the religious men of His day, and even those He healed and helped. He was accused and denied by those within His inner circle.

Jesus was accused and yet He opened NOT His mouth. How silent is God within us when we are wrongfully and deceitfully accused? Our natural nature is to rise up and defend. Jesus could have called legions of angels to defend Himself because He had right standing in His Father.  He was accused and we who follow Him and believe in Him will also be accused. The servant is not greater than his Master.

The question is will we defend ourselves in righteousness of proof or will the deeper work in us show that the “self” is truly dead and opens not it’s mouth to render railing for railing, criticism for criticism, truth for lies, defense for innocence.  Accusers are always liars. The periods on their sentences are often to later deny their own words of accusation. There is really only one accuser and he uses the mouths of men to speak for him from the depths of evil from their hearts.

When death is near all people grow quieter and speak less. Most at this time do not defend their lives or their wrongdoings. They are dying. If we are truly dying to our “selves” what is there to defend? It is promised men will speak all manner of evil against us. We must see Jesus. He was accused for each of us. Each step to Calvary He was jeered, mocked, scorned, accused and He opened NOT His mouth.  Will we deny Him? NEVER, is the answer of the over comer. Will we defend our selves, our reputation, our good name, our righteousness in the face of evil, or will the molding of the acceptance of His will be formed in us to walk as living dead men opening not our mouth to obtain that which is birthed when denial is not voiced?

There will always be evil speakers. It is the nature of the beast within men. The accuser, satan exists to constantly accuse. It is his job.  We must see the enemy but we must also be able to hear him as he speaks among us through the mouths of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We can defend our selves or remain silent. When we are purposely silent as lambs The Shepherd of Glory is our defense. He knows what it is to be accused and he also knows that as we surrender this one area to Him, He is our only Defender. He is both The Shepherd of Israel and The Lion of Judah. We must surrender our own defenses and allow the nature of the lamb to quietly come forth and as we do this, The Lion of Judah will roar through the universe in defending each of us.  Let The Lion of Judah roar for the silent lamb. 8-24-2006

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

References
Isaiah 53
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Isaiah 53-8) He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another,
love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

1 Peter 3
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
10) For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile

1Peter 3
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
Revelation 12
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Revelation 12
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Jeremiah 11
For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
And the LORD hath given me knowledge [of it], and I know [it]: then thou shewedst me their doings.

But I [was] like a lamb [or] an ox [that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see
thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

Revelation 12
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Jude 1
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10) But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Acts 8
And Philip ran thither to [him], and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. The eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

The dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
